| Welcome to Selene Mastiffs in Olympia, WA! Owned and loved by Jean & Mathew Rakestraw. We have six beautiful English Mastiffs at this time...call names Tink, Pepper, Bailey, Gunnar, Lilly, and our newest member Joker! While our babies are show dogs, they are members of the family first. They own us, we don't own them. We love and enjoy our gang very much...as you will see by the many photos of them! Tink became a champion in 2004 and is retired from showing. Her favorite spot is the couch! She continues to rule the house, much to Gunnar's dismay!!! Pepper, our little miss busy, had to be spayed last year due to a uterine infection. I really miss being in the conformation ring with her, but we're having fun just hangin' out! She recently earned her Canine Good Citizen Award (CGC)! Gunnar achieved his championship owner-handled out of the Bred-By Class, by going BOW & Best Bred-by at the Vancouver show in October 2006. We are so proud of him!! Click here for Gunnar's show pictures. Gunnar also achieved his Canine Health Award in December 2006. Gunnar is available for stud to bitches of merit. To be considered the bitches must have completed (and passed) their health testing. Bailey continues to amuse us with her carefree attitude towards life. She is so much fun to watch run in the field when she's playing with the other dogs! She loves to throw her ears back and just go!!! She recently received an Excellent rating on her hips!!! She had two beautiful brindle pups on November 5, 2007. Lilly is a very well behaved girl we got from Silvercrest Mastiffs! Full of love and kisses! She has started her show career and has finally learned to stand still!!!! She is definitely a keeper! Watch for more pictures of her as she grows up!!! Lilly recently received her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Award at the age of 14 months. Our newest member of the family is Selene's Wild Card "Joker" from our Bailey X Bear litter. He is a sweet brindle boy and will be starting his show career in June! Watch for his web page coming soon! I am a member in good standing with the Pacific Northwest Mastiff Fanciers (PNMF) and I'm currently the club secretary. I am also a member in good standing with the Mastiff Club of America (MCOA).
