| Welcome to Selene Mastiffs, located near Olympia, WA in Rochester, Washington! We established our kennel in 2001 after we brought the best mastiff on the planet into our home, Tink, and decided the mastiff was the perfect breed for us! We currently have six English Mastiffs...call names Tink, Pepper, Bailey, Gunnar, Lilly, and Joker! Jean also co-owns two of Gunnar's pups, Maverick & Boo! While most of our dogs are show dogs, they are all members of the family first. They own us, we don't own them. We love and enjoy our gang very much...as you will see by the many photos of them! Gunnar achieved his AKC and Int'l championships owner-handled out of the Bred-By Class in 2006. He earned his Canadian Championship at the Canadian Mastiff Specialty in July 2008. He won the PNMF Supported show in October 2008. He also won the 1st Award of Excellence (Merit) at the Eukanuba National Championships in CA in December 2008, and finished at #6 in the country in 2008. We are so proud of him!! Click here for Gunnar's show pictures. Although Gunnar is now retired, he will always be top dog to us! Gunnar achieved his Canine Health Award in December 2006. He now qualifies for the Mastiff Club Of America Gold Health Award as of September 2008, after passing the last of 8 health tests required for the award! He also passed the new Canine Multifocal Retinopathy (CMR) test. Gunnar is available for stud to bitches of merit. To be considered the bitches must have completed (and passed) their health testing. Gunnar was bred with Kirby (Am. Ca. Int'l. Ch. Silvercrests Clean Sweep) and 7 puppies arrived October 15, 2008. 4 boys and 3 girls! Click here for puppy pictures! Our youngest member of the family is Selene's Wild Card "Joker" from our Bailey X Bear litter. He is a sweet brindle boy and took Best Puppy at the Spokane show in 2008 He also won his class in puppy sweeps at the Canadian Mastiff Specialty in August 2008. We haven't shown him much...waiting for him to grow up and fill out, but we did bring him out to show at the Specialty in Eugene, OR last may, and our niece Renee did an excellent job of showing him in juniors. Lilly is a very well behaved girl we got from Silvercrest Mastiffs! Full of love and kisses, she finally learned to stand still and earned her Championship in 2009. Her nickname is Silly Lilly and she is definitely a keeper! Her favorite toy is a 5 gallon bucket! She loves to run with it and throw it in the air! Lilly earned her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Certificate at the age of 14 months. She recently received a Good on her hips! Tink turned 9 in May! She became a champion in 2004 and is retired from showing. Her favorite spot is the couch! She continues to rule the house, much to her son Gunnar's dismay!!! She came out to complete as a veteran and won Best Veteran Female at the Canadian Mastiff Specialty in July 2008. She received her Canine Good Citizen Award (CGC) in August 2008. She is our baby!!! Tink's daughter Bailey continues to amuse us with her carefree attitude towards life. She is so much fun to watch run in the field when she's playing with the other dogs! She loves to throw her ears back and just go!!! She received an Excellent rating on her hips!!! She had two beautiful brindle pups on November 5, 2007. Joker is our keeper from that litter! Pepper, our little miss busy, had to be spayed at 2, due to a uterine infection. I really miss being in the conformation ring with her, but we're having fun just hangin' out! She earned her Canine Good Citizen Award (CGC) in 2007! She most recently has lost all her extra weight and is looking wonderful! She no longer looks like a stuff sausage! I am a member in good standing with the Mastiff Club of America (MCOA) and the Cascade English Mastiff Club (CEMC). Thanks for visiting!
